Yumi tells the the story of Uma, trained from birth to be part of Emperor Ashoka’s elite all female bodyguard outfit-’Rakshikas’. During the war of Kalinga Uma is drafted in the army by her mother the chief Rakshika Sanghvi. The Kalinga war will change the history of India, the life of the Emperor, and the young girl sworn to protect him.
